temptation to disappear is the result of a solitary, difficult journey, in search of the present time which imposes itself in sometimes rough images, but always of dazzling beauty. They reveal to us the fragility of a strong and wild nature that knows how to remind us how much we must respect it.

temptation to disappear is also a quest, that of an attempt at reconciliation with a painful past, to which we invite the author. Photographs and text support and respond to each other in the delicacy of the mist as in the power of the torrent.

Born in 1959, after a BTS photo training at the École Nationale Louis-Lumière, Jean-Michel Leligny became a freelance photographer and journalist. A serious illness, followed by a heart transplant, put a parenthesis on his work. After a year off and having left Paris, he resumed personal work from 2011, where the relationship between man and his environment is present, but also the relationship between text and image.
