"Itinerary of a Melancholy is a title that is both beautiful and judicious. Russia has been the land of asylum for all the sorrows of the soul. Isolation, modesty, the harshness of life leave many pensive eyes. The tongue over there saysit toska : melancholy, spleen. There is languor in the spaces. In general we defend ourselves, we play the party to forget. We drink."oit."

Cédric Gras extract from the bookge)

It is a journey to the heart of a disenchanted Russia, in search of its lost splendor. From Moscow to à  Soudal, from Vladimir to  Kazan, Didier Bizet photographed Russians in their daily lives, capturing the melancholy tinged with nostalgia that characterizes the Slavic soul so well, on which Cédric Gras has put his words.ts.

Didier Bizet is a photographer, represented by the Hans Lucas agency. He works for the national and international press..

Cédric Gras, author for whom Russia is his second dacha, prefaced the book. After having created and led the Alliance Française in Donetsk, then that of Karkhov and that of Odessa, Cédric Gras decided during the winter of 2016 to participate in the 61st Russian Antarctic Expedition on the Progress and Mirny4 bases. It was after this experience that he decided to devote himself solely to writing.re.
At only 36 years old, he is one of our most promising travel writers. Companion and friend of Sylvain Tesson, he left with him in a sidecar in the Napoleonic footsteps of the retreat from Russia.
