Spettri di Famiglia is a feverish quest. That of a renowned photographer, over forty, learning about his Neapolitan origins. There will follow multiple journeys which, in the absence of truth, will feed an autofictional story imbued with black poetry.

« They are smoky images, buried for ages, then slowly brought up from the deep galleries of memory, these places dedicated to the worst and where one does not like to hang around. These images are the obscure story of an abandonment, the brutal end of a French childhood, cut with a mincer. One evening, at the end of the holidays, a father said to Charlotte, his ten-year-old daughter, we can't bring you back with us, you'll have to stay here. And here it is Italy, it is Naples, the foreigner, the end of the world and for a child, without her parents, the end of everything. And this all happened without explanation, out of reason, for good or bad. Merely,t, the lightning of misfortune fell, one summer evening, at the end of the holidays.»
