Co-founder of the collective of photographers Tendance Floue and working for several years forCity Guides Louis Vuitton, Denis Bourges had the idea of Ordinary Heroes Usual Heroess) during his first trip to Los Angeles, oh so cinematic city.

At every moment, day and night, its inhabitants interpret the scenarios of their lives. Looking at his images, Denis immediately wanted to join forces with Monica Rattazzi, screenwriter and writer, in order to "fictionalize" this universe. They then began their image / text correspondence with the idea of telling the intimate story of their heroes, hour by hour, on the day of the Oscar nomination.ars.

The myth, the light, the history, the proximity to Hollywood Los Angeles is naturally cinematic. Perpetually irradiated by daylight, the city becomes a life-size studio offering its architecture as a colorful backdrop to the most secret, the most banal, the craziest, the most human stories. At night, it is in black and white that furtive, dreamy, trained, tired or exacerbated silhouettes meet or prevail, taking over the streets, nightlife spots, revealed or hidden intimacies. And at every moment, day and night, its inhabitants interpret the scenarios of their lives. Scenarios in which they are both authors and actors. Stories in which they are the heroes, where every little detail can become the tipping point of an existence, the revealer of a journey, the occasion of a very personal, discreet or obvious dramaturgy. évidente.

The story of an ordinary daily, captured by Denis Bourges' lens.s.

And that Monica Rattazzi deciphered, imagined, and told.
